Skeet Shooting

Thursday, 22 May 2008 - 3:59pm.

Imagine trying to hit a six-inch Frisbee travelling at 60 m.p.h. Sounds hard enough, right?
Add to that a strong wind and you can guess the scoring won’t be setting any records.

The weekly skeet shoot Tuesday evening at the Fort Frances Sportsmen’s Club range at Frog Creek again battled Mother Nature, but the usual veterans—and some newer shooters—managed to fare all right all things considered.
Len Noonan again led the way with rounds of 20, 23, and 22 (out of a possible 25) while Ted Brockie was next (21 and 22).
Other shooters included Rick Johnson (19 and 20), Tony Manuge (21, 19, and 19), Harvey Perry (19), Paul Fisher (19 and 21), and Jeremy McGuire (19 and 22).
New shooters are always welcome, and can get individualized instruction on Thursdays at the range.
