Welcome to the Fort Frances Sportsmen's Club. Our property is located on Frog Creek road. Our ranges consist of a Handgun Range, a Rifle Range and a separate Skeet and Archery Range. The club provides an excellent location for outdoors enthusiasts to participate in the sport of their choice. The Handgun Range will be CLOSED from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on the following days:
Tuesday, April 20, 2022
Friday, April 22, 2022
Monday to Friday, May 16-20, 2022

The Fort Frances Sportsmen's Club is looking for the various items to help in the continuing upgrades to the property.
* Lumber - can be new/used 2x4's; treated 2x6's, etc.

* Fille - has to be 'clean'. It can be rock, gravel, brick, clay, soil, etc.

The Directors of the Fort Frances Sportsmen's Club reminds all members to practice health and distancing guidelines; and follow all COVID-19 restrictions that have been promoted by the Government of Canada, the Government of Ontario, and the Northwestern Health Unit.

We will do our best to keep members informed on Facebook and on the club website www.ffsportsmensclub.com.

will ONLY BE ACCEPTED by mail or email.
Payment will only be accepted by cheque or e-payment.
Both completed membership forms and payment must be received before you membership application will be processed.

If you are unable to scan your membership application to send, take a picture of both completed pages and email those.

 

Please note: If you do not include your PAL# on your application form, it will not be processed until we have received this information.

All members wishing to use the Handgun Range, or use a Restricted/Prohibited Firearm on Club Property, must successfully complete a Club Level Safety Course. For more information, please contact one of our range officers.

Our ranges are specifically approved for the following by the Chief Firearms Officer:

Range#1 (Skeet Range) Single Skeet Field

Range #2 (Rifle Range) 25/50/100/200 Yard Outdoor Centre Fire Rifle / .22 Calibre Rifle / Shotgun
Approval for Range 2 Includes: Benchrest and Bullseye Target Shooting Only. Shotgun Patterning. No Steel Reactive Target Approval.

Range #3 (Handgun Range): 25 Metre Outdoor Handgun / .22 Calibre Rifle

Each range is approved for certain firearms types and calibers only. Absolutely No rifles with any caliber other than .22 is to be fired on the handgun range, and no handguns are to be fired on the rifle range.

The Boat Launch is CLOSED until further notice.  

We are currently having a survey completed to help the Board of Directors determine a course of action.

PLEASE NOTE: All new members and current members, who have not yet taken any Club Level Safety Course, must complete the Club Level Safety Course prior to using the Handgun Range. This is a requirement of the Fort Frances Sportmen's Club as well as the Chief Firearms Officer (CFO). The course does have a one time $25 fee. We have 6 qualified range officers that will put in the time to make sure that our members can use the range in a safe manner. If you are lloking to use the handgun range, please send us a message so that we can arrange for you to take the course as soon as possible.
